Organised by the International Water Association (IWA) in co-operation with the Royal Netherlands Waternetwork and Aquatech 2008

Description:
The United Nations have nominated the year 2008 as the year of sanitation. The implementation of the Milennium development goals is behind schedule, especially the goals on sanitation. A new impuls is necessary to put this item on the political agenda. Water Operators Partnerships between public water and sanitation operators themselves or between public operator and any other party will help to improve the public sector performance in developing countries. Utilities as well as the water industry is encouraged to start a twinning relation. In this conference we want to present the best practices and case studies to learn lessons. Lessons both associated with successes and failures. The combination with Aquatech Amsterdam 2008, one of the main exhibition shows in the water industry, offers a very interesting possibility to exchange practical solutions and stimulate the exhibitors and visitors of Aquatech to attend this conference and share their views.
